Working back from go-live
five habits for seasonal briefs
Start with the date the video goes live
Every other date hangs off it. Count back through final, draft and concept, then check the product can reach you before the concept date.
Put the end of the window in writing
Seasonal content has a last day. Write down when the brand stops running it, and what happens after: they stop, or they renew on terms you both agree.
Treat rush as its own row
If a deadline lands inside a quiet-turnaround window, say so in the rush row of the payment section instead of absorbing it.
Settle shipping before the concept
Who pays, whether you keep the product, and what happens if it arrives late all change what you can promise.
Say where the disclosure goes
Agree who adds it and that it sits in the video itself, as the FTC guidance describes.

Quick answers
Why use a separate brief for holiday campaigns?
Seasonal work runs to a fixed calendar. A go-live date, a last day the content can run and a product arrival date decide whether the job is workable, so they belong on the page before you agree.
Do I fill this in, or does the brand?
Either. Send it to the brand with your blanks filled, or fill it in together on a call. Anything left blank is something you have not agreed yet.
Where do my prices go?
In the payment rows. Work out your own numbers with the rate calculator; this template contains no suggested rates.
